Rateo vs Trustmary: Which Review Workflow Fits Your Local Business?
Compare Rateo’s customer-led Google review workflow and custom survey or campaign services with Trustmary’s built-in feedback and testimonial tools.
Rateo and Trustmary both work with customer reviews, but they package the work differently. Rateo’s standard plan focuses on a direct, customer-led Google review workflow with a published price per location; surveys and automated campaigns can also be provided by Rateo on request as a custom service. Trustmary may suit a business that wants survey, feedback-analysis, and testimonial tools built into a self-service platform. The useful question is which approach matches the work your business will actually use.
Rateo keeps the review step customer-led
Rateo’s pricing page lists a QR code and shareable review link. In the standard workflow, Rateo does not automatically send the link as an SMS or email invitation; customers choose whether to scan or open it. A business can still add the link to emails it already sends, without buying a dedicated email-marketing tool just to include a review link. If surveys or automated campaigns are needed, Rateo can provide them on request as a custom service.
For replies, Rateo says it can generate and automatically publish responses to new Google reviews after a natural delay, using the business voice and guidance configured for the account. See the AI review-response workflow. The pricing page lists Google Business Profile support, a smart rating page, QR code, shareable link, and business-voice settings in its per-location plan.
Trustmary brings surveys and website proof into the same workflow
Trustmary’s review-collection overview describes branded campaigns that can be shared by email, direct link, QR code, or website embed. Its pricing-page FAQ also lists SMS distribution in Europe. That makes the product relevant when the business wants to gather customer feedback as well as invite reviews.
Trustmary’s feature overview describes 3-in-1 surveys for satisfaction ratings, open feedback, and reviews, alongside NPS and CSAT surveys, feedback analysis, imports from review sites, and website review widgets. These built-in, self-service tools may be valuable if the business plans to use them. Rateo can also provide surveys and automated campaigns through a custom service on request, so the distinction is built-in platform tools versus a tailored service—not whether the work is possible.
Compare the published prices with the limits
Rateo publishes US pricing of $12 per month per location or $129 per year per location. The annual price works out to $10.75 per location per month when averaged over 12 months. Both plans list the same Google-focused workflow; these are the published standard-plan prices, while surveys and automated campaigns can be discussed with Rateo as custom services.
Trustmary’s pricing page currently shows USD and has “Pay annually, save 16%” selected. It lists Solo as free, with 5 monthly survey responses and 200 monthly widget views; AI Visibility at $191 per month with the same displayed response and view limits; Starter at $388 per month with 10 monthly responses, 5,000 widget views, and 3 review connections; and Business at $650 per month with 50 monthly responses, 25,000 widget views, and 10 review connections. These are amounts shown per month with annual billing selected, not a like-for-like per-location price. Trustmary’s pricing FAQ says one Google location counts as one review connection.
On the official Trustmary pricing and feature pages checked, a separate per-location subscription price, automatic Google review-reply workflow, and business-voice reply controls are “not stated on official pages checked.” That describes the information reviewed, not a claim that the product cannot do those things. Confirm the current currency, billing period, plan limits, and location needs on each vendor’s official page before choosing.
Which one is a better fit for your business?
- Rateo may fit when Google reviews are your main public-feedback channel, you want a known per-location price and review replies, and you can add its shareable link to emails you already send. Surveys or automated campaigns can be requested as a custom service.
- Trustmary may fit when you want customer surveys, NPS or CSAT measurement, feedback analysis, review imports, testimonials, and widgets available as built-in platform tools.
- For one location, compare Rateo’s per-location subscription with Trustmary’s monthly response, widget-view, and review-connection limits. For multiple locations or heavier survey use, check how many Trustmary connections and responses your workflow needs.
